Ken Nicol announced details for this event taking place on 22 May 2010.

Snowdonia holds fond memories for many former Junior Leaders, not least those who attended the Army Outward Bound School at Towyn or took careful, knee trembling steps over the knife-edge at Crib Coch, to reach the summit of Snowdon itself. So this little IBB-IJLB Association expedition to the summit by train or foot on 22 May 2010 will bring back memories of youthful adventure for many of us. |

On 22 May 2010 the assembled groups will travel by train or by foot to the cafe at the summit of Snowdon, then meet for dinner at the Wynnstay Hotel in Oswestry which will be the central point for the weekend.

In Summary. Those going to the top by train, meet up at the Snowdon Railway Café, Llanberis for 1130am to set off around noon on the 60 minute train journey. RV with the walkers on the summit for half an hour or so. Those intending to tab up the mountain will be setting off much earlier and details are available from Brian. Smart but casual dinner at 7.30pm for 8pm at the Wynnstay Hotal back at Oswestry.
£16 each for a ticket on the Snowdon Mountain Railway from Llanberis to the summit and back.
Brian Kilty knows Snowdonia like the back of his hand and he will lead the party of walkers up the mountain to meet up with the train party at the summit.
Dinner in the Wynnstay Hotel will be £22.50 each, to include three courses.
