AGM 2009
October 2009 saw the IBB-IJLB Association hold its AGM in Oswestry. So what went on?
It appears the Association has a few quid, mostly due to the efforts of Graham Fowler and John Henderson.... and we're giving some of that to the Royal Hospital Chelsea. John O'Brian is producing an IJLB pendant and we'll see that sometime during 2010. Apparently, there's a Memorial Garden being built at Park Hall, Oswestry, where the armoury once sat - but no designs have been made public.... so we'll have to wait and see. The next reunion won't be until 2011... but there's a day trip, open to fully paid up members, going to the top of Snowdon by rail or foot during May 2010.
There were no discussions with regard to the number of IBB-IJLB Association new registrations during the last year or how many have taken up the option to become full members (believed to be around 50) ... but Forum registrations hit a new high at 290, with a dozen or so regular contributors, including four moderators, keeping it lively on a day to day basis. As his main project for 2010 Secretary Ken has organized a working party to rewrite the IBB-IJLB Association Constitution.
