I was looking for my old IJLB badge the other day and when I found it, wondered what the motto meant. Looked it up and it's a bit of daft trivia for the site:

"Deus vult! (God wills it) became the battle cry of the Crusader.

Used in the Crusades. The rest of the badge speaks for itself. Badge of the Army, Lion/Crown/Crossed Swords. Roses, Thistles, Shamrocks and Leaks for the four countries.

Phil Mann

It's Latin for "Don't get caught"
