Missing ma Mammy

When I was PS COS for C Coy I was doing my rounds to make sure all the wee laddies were tucked up in bed when I came across a young JL crying (wont mention his name but he was a Lowlander) When I asked him why he said he didn't like the Army and wanted to go home. I sat talking to the lad for several hours in my office and persuaded him to carry on. He finished his service about four years ago as a Major and he still owes me a drink.
