Anybody else sentenced to Restiction of Privileges?

How many days? Fourteen for me and reduced from J/Cpl. Show parades at the Guardroom in Best Kit at 0600 and 2200 where if your turn-out wasn't up to snuff the inspecting officer could add to the sentence. No sports on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings, Extra Drill on Wingate Square instead. Not allowed to use the NAFFI so at NAFFI-Break you'd be at the cookhouse with the penniless ones to get a mug of tea and a slice of whatever passed for cake at the side door nearest the Tac Wing. DRO's! Stuck in the pan wash at the cookhouse. Up to your armpits in increasingly greasy luke-warm water trying to get the scum off various dixies. Or taking the swill out (I recall being told it was used to make soap ). Those two weeks went faster than any before or since, no time to do anything except work on your kit for the morning and evening inspections, work on your drill kit for 'Extra's' and every other minute was cleaning something or sweeping somewhere supervised by Regimental Police. Booking an Early Call from the COS has just returned to my memory! Mike Prince
